Barrel Roll
From Burnopedia, the Burnout wiki
A Barrel Roll is a stunt that can be performed on Burnout Paradise's Split Ramps at various locations around Paradise City, by driving your car up the ramp so that one side rides up the higher ramp portion. The car spins along an axis running from the front of the car to the back.
Barrel rolls are not exclusive to Burnout Paradise, however. They were first featured in Burnout 3: Takedown as an element of its crash mode.
As of Paradise's free February update, the Barrel Roll automatically makes a clean landing unless you land on the side or roof of the car, which will cause you to Wreck. So, it is essential to make sure you have enough speed and hit the ramp correctly. It is also possible to perform more than one barrel roll off of a Split Ramp if you hold the left analog stick in the direction of the barrel roll. To do this is a combination of luck, skill, and location. For example boosting will increase your cars speed, which it good placement will enable your car to rotate faster, which if the ramp is high enough will allow you to let the car roll longer.
Big Surf beach is a good location to learn to Barrel Roll as it has a pair of Split Ramps in the middle of a long traffic-less run up. Another is at one of the main entrances to the 'Lone Peaks Quarry' which is a prime candidate for a multiple barrel roll.
The Carson Opus XS was widely regarded as the best car for barrel rolls before Burnout Paradise's premium downloadable cars were released as now the Carson Extreme Hotrod holds the record for most barrel rolls.
