The Blu-Ray Hawker is an unreleased Sponsor variant of the Hawker, with Sony, PlayStation 3 and Blu-Ray as its sponsors. The developers however removed access to the car before the release of the game. The hidden sponsor Hawker became known by exploring the game's files and currently only its Junkyard icon has been discovered. To this date there is no known legal method for unlocking this vehicle.

The Blu-Ray Hawker hypothetically has the same statistics as the Montgomery Hawker before the release of the Free February Update and as such it would have handled exaclty like the original Hawker.

It appears that Sony would have also sponsored the Hawker mainly because the PS3 version of the game is shipped on Blu-Ray disc.

Blu-Ray and Sony could have been dropped because an equivalent for the Xbox 360 would have been necessary if it had shipped with the PlayStation 3 version of the game. We also know that, originally, Burnout Paradise was developed on PlayStation 3 DevTool, then it could probably be an homage to Sony. But there are also BP betas for Xbox 360 XDA DevTool, then it's not sure why the Blu-Ray Hawker was implemented.

Description

With its cool, smokey spray job, the Blu-Ray Hawker is available only to a very exclusive clientele. This is living all right... in the fast lane!

How to Unlock

The Blue-Ray Hawker cannot be unlocked via normal or legal means. It was probably available in some beta or alpha stage of the game.

Resemblance

The Hawker's model closely resembles that of a TVR Sagaris / T350 at the front and Aston Martin DB9 at the rear. The general "body-type" of the Hawker Solo bares slight resemblances to the Mercedes SLR McLaren.

The stat fields of the Blue-Ray Hawker, like the other sponsor vehicles and their original versions, are typically the same as the stat fields of the Hawker before free February update.
