One of Burnout Paradise's Premium Content Packs is the Boost Specials collection. It was announced by Criterion Games on November 21, 2008. It became available to purchase March 12, 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is expected to be released for the PC March 25, 2009. It includes two vehicles with unique Boost abilities. The vehicles are available for purchase individually for $4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99 / 400Microsoft Points each, or the entire pack can be purchased for $7.99 / €7.99 / £6.29 / 640Microsoft Points. This includes both cars.

[edit] Carson Extreme Hotrod

The Carson Extreme Hotrod is the fastest car in Burnout Paradise. It has Locked boost, unlimited boost that can't be stopped once it is started unless the car comes to a complete halt for at least a second, usually done with handbrake. Individually, the Carson Extreme Hotrod costs $4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99 / 400Microsoft Points.

This is the other Boost Special car. The Hawker Mech comes with the ability for the player to switch between either Speed, Stunt or Aggression boost by pressing the left stick (L3).

Individually, the Montgomery Hawker Mech costs $4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99 / 400Microsoft Points.

  • This pack was accidentally made available by Microsoft on the Xbox 360 February 19, 2009. It was shortly removed thereafter until its official release.
