One of Burnout Paradise's Premium Content Packs is the Boost Specials collection. It was announced by Criterion Games on November 21, 2008. It became available to purchase on March 12, 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 closely followed on March 25, 2009 for the PC. It includes two vehicles with unique Boost abilities. [edit] Carson Extreme Hotrod
The Carson Extreme Hotrod is the fastest car in Burnout Paradise. It has Locked boost, which is unlimited boost that can't be stopped once it is started unless the car crashes or otherwise comes to a complete halt for at least a second, usually done with handbrake.

This is the other Boost Special car. The Hawker Mech comes with the ability for the player to switch between either Speed, Stunt or Aggression boost by pressing the left stick.
