The Carson Carbon GT Concept is the carbon version of the GT Concept. It, like the other carbon cars, has a chrome shaded exterior with better statistics than its original (gaining 1 boost point and 1 strength point) and a boost type conversion, which in this case changed it from a Stunt boost to a Speed boost. The loss of its Stunt boost type is a bit of a disadvantage that leans its effectiveness towards races. Despite this, it is one of the most well rounded cars in the game with high statistics in every field and very good maneuverability. The statistics suggest that it could also do well in some of the rougher events such as Marked Man and Road Rage. For Marked Man events, this is true. However, it can only do well in Road Rage events as long as the player continues to boost.

One major problem for the new Carbon GT Concept is the difficulty in performing Stunt Run events. Its new speed boost, limits players ability to keep combos alive, as it can only be used when the boost bar is full. Therefore it cannot be intermittently applied to maintain multiplier points. Letting go of the boost while its engaging will prevent the player from using it again (even if some of the boost gauge is still there) unless the player can find a way to recharge its boost (going through the Gas Station or find the corners to drift or flat spin around large ramps). The timer begins and if the player doesn't find the Gas Station or perform stunts in time, the combo ends and the player must start chaining combos from scratch.

The ability to perform stunts like barrel rolls (single or multiple) or flat spins is still very good despite its speed boost. So if a player is able to achieve Burnouts by Oncoming, stunts or gas stations, the change to Speed Boost will not hinder stunting capacity.

[edit] How to Unlock

Drive through all 400 Smashes on the Paradise City mainland.

[edit] Resemblance

The Carbon GT Concept model is a Burnout-styled copy of the real-world fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, which itself is a concept car (minus its carbon fiber body). And such as the original GT Concept it is based on a Ford Shelby GT.

[edit] Notes

  • In Burnout Paradise's Free February Update, the Carson Carbon GT Concept's speed stat was lowered from 9 to 6 and its boost stat was lowered from 10 to 9.
  • This vehicle can't be used in an online Cops & Robbers game.
  • The carbon version's statistics and looks make it a worthy alternative to the Carson GT Nighthawk.
