The Carson "Steel Wheels" GT is a steel-armored version of the GT Concept. Due to this construction, like the Carbon Cars, this vehicle has an unchangeable steel coating as a paint job. The Steel Wheels is statistically identical to the Hunter Citizen, and as such, it is intended for Marked Man and Road Rage events. It has a boost type conversion, switching from Stunt to Aggression. The new chassis also brought some quirks to the otherwise predictable GT. The increase in weight means that the handling is not as sharp or as responsive, compared to the others in the GT Concept family. Also, because of the extra weight, the Steel Wheels boasts weaker acceleration. It is mainly intended as a complement to the Citizen with a different base vehicle. Still, although it cannot match its GT cousins in feel and overall abilities, compared to its competitors as a Road Rage car, it is almost unmatched.

[edit] Resemblance
The "Steel Wheels" GT model series is composed of Burnout-styled copies of the real-world fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, which itself is a concept car (excluding its armor plated body and different rims).
[edit] Notes
- In Burnout Paradise's Free February Update, the Carson "Steel Wheels" GT did not receive a stat change.
- After the release of the Free February Update, players are no longer able to enter a sponsor code to unlock sponsor vehicles. If you entered the code before the update you will still be able to use the car.
- This car cannot be unlocked through the Time Savers Pack.
- This vehicle can't be used in an Online Cops & Robbers game.
- The Steel Wheels GT can be seen on billboards throughout Paradise City with the message "Redefining The Muscle Car"
- According to pictures from Paradise City's early development, the "Steel Wheels" GT was originally supposed to be equipped with stunt boost. If the car's weight today was anything like it was back then, reasons for the change to aggression boost seem to be clear.
