The Carson Thunder Shadow is the upgraded version of the Thunder Custom. The speed does not lower and it gets two more boost points. This helps with the acceleration problem and makes the Thunder Shadow a little bit better than its original. Everything else remains about the same, as this car also finds its use mainly in the rougher Road Rage and Marked Man events. It has also found a following in online races, as its weight is actually beneficial in some races (the ones coming down from White mountain) and a 10 rated aggression boost is nothing to sneeze at.

[edit] Resemblance
It resembles a 1949 Mercury Eight, and the Hudson Hornet. The same model resembles cars featured in Burnout Revenge and Burnout Dominator. With its Matte Black paint job it also looks a lot like the car Sylvester Stallone drove in the movie Cobra.

- In Burnout Paradise's Free February Update, the Carson Thunder Shadow's speed stat was lowered from 8 to 6.
- No custom paint options are available. Only the Matte Black, Gold Paint or Platinum Paint finishes can be used.
