The Carson & Bennett Tribal Special is the Burning Route version of the Hot Rod Coupe. This upgrade trades one boost point for one extra speed point. This makes the Tribal Special more ideal for events such as a Race since one of its problems was slow acceleration when boost was not active. The extra cruising speed will help keep the player from lagging too far behind until they can find a straight away to safely use its boost. The car's handling and stunt capabilities are the exact same as the Hot Rod Coupe, which still makes it viable for Stunt Runs.

With minor problems aside, the Tribal Special is a great upgrade over the original Coupe, and is an ideal choice for any Veteran Freeburner.

[edit] Description

The Tribal Special is the cruising man's Hot Rod. Slightly less boost power, but more cruising speed means if you shut it off the whole pack won't go strolling past.

[edit] How to Unlock

Beat the Hot Rod Coupe Burning Route.

[edit] Resemblance

The Tribal Special shares the same model known as the Hot Rod from Burnout 2: Point of Impact. In real life the Tribal Special looks similar to a Ford Model A or B used in the American Hot Rod culture. It also resembles an older Bugatti model.

[edit] Notes

  • In Burnout Paradise's Free February Update, the Carson Tribal Special's speed stat was lowered from 8 to 6 and it's boost stat was lowered from 10 to 9.
