The Coupe DX is a vehicle in Burnout 3: Takedown.

Description Edit

While the original Tuned Coupe holds great handling, the Coupe DX has even worse handling, which can easily be compared to the Coupe Type 1 and the Custom Coupe. Inexperienced players should avoid using this vehicle at all costs.

Although this vehicle is supposedly the upgraded Tuned Coupe, it is much worse. The acceleration and weight are still acceptable, but the handling is so slippery that it is guaranteed to crash often. Players receive this DX car by getting enough gold medals, but ironically, it has terrible performance and will likely prevent them from getting gold in later events.

Blue/black, red/light grey and black/light grey are the only available colors, but a yellow/black finish appears on the XBOX platform cover that was cut from the game.

How to Unlock Edit

Awarded for earning 18 Gold Medals.

Resemblance Edit

The Coupe DX closely resembles a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI. The only notable differences would be the lack of the Evolution's fog lights, the headlights appearing to have a smoke tint, different grille and similar door configuration to that of a Mazda RX-8. The tail lights appear to be very similar to that of an Oldsmobile Alero. Of course, there are several racing modifications that make the Tuned Coupe look different to its real-life counterparts.
