Crash is a game mode featured in Burnout 2: Point of Impact. It is a completely separate mode of gameplay and isn't part of any Championship.

Completing Crash mode unlocks the Runaway cheat.

It is the evolution of Burnout's normal Crash and it has since appeared in this form in subsequent games excluding Burnout Dominator and Burnout Paradise.

Description Edit

The goal of the player is to create as much traffic carnage as possible to earn money by hitting busy intersections.

Each traffic vehicle affected by the initial crash wreck too and contribute to the amount of Damage done. At the end of event, the total number of vehicles totaled is converted into a Bonus that acts as a multiplier affecting the amount of Damage dealt. The Total score of the player essentially being the product of both.

While any vehicle can be used for a Crash, the best choice would those which are faster and somewhat heavier. A player will have greater chances of causing Damage when they hit the intersection fast. The game suggests this as the Player has a full Boost bar at the starting line (unlike any other event) and performing a burnout is highly recommended.

During the event, like Races, there is a timer. It usually grants the Player 30 seconds to execute the Crash.

There is a total of 15 Crash Zones featured in Burnout 2, taking place on portions of most of the tracks featured in the game. They are all named and are of increasing difficulty, namely due to the target scores which increase and the complexity of the Traffic flow as well as the global setting of the Zone.
