B2 Crash Escape

The Classic avoiding a Gangster's wreckage on Ocean Sprint in Burnout 2.

A Crash Escape occurs when a player avoids another rival's wrecked vehicle. The Crash Escape feature was first introduced in Burnout 3: Takedown and has since become a staple of the Burnout series. Nevertheless, escaping rival crashes are unofficially possible in Burnout and Burnout 2: Point of Impact.

In Burnout Paradise, avoiding a wrecked rival provides a decent amount of boost. Avoiding wrecked rivals is imperative in this game because wrecked cars usually have outstanding weight, and even the strongest cars will almost surely get wrecked themselves if they collide with them, unlike some of the lighter regular traffic cars. In some events such as races, a car wreck can cause a chain collision that leaves many competitors crashing into the others' wrecked cars.
