DJ Atomica

From Burnopedia, the Burnout wiki

DJ Atomica is the in-game commentator in Paradise City. He is supposedly the DJ on a local radio station by the name of 'Crash FM'. He seems to act like a "guide" of sorts by dispensing hints, or tips, when you fail an event or just freeburning around. He will also make random comments about the city, future possible download content, or of things to do in Paradise. Due to this role, as the player progress through the game, DJ Atomika will gradually comment less and less on one's win/loss status and eventually go silent throughout the the last two licenses.

As the only known person in Paradise City, DJ Atomica is "responsible" for answering questions from Criterion Games' mailbag. He will often provide a very brief and to-the-point response to the person's question, however, he will sometimes take a mischevious or impatient tone with them to make humour. He often watches races out of his window from the Studio (Crash FM) and make commentary. Though he is only heard on the car radio itself, he sometimes will speak about his own driving, and new cars he's taken down and is currently driving (e.g. a race with him in a Montgomery Hyperion).

He also provides some advertising beyond the many billboards and cars in Burnout Paradise. Sometimes he will talk about EA HD (Electronic Arts games in High Defenition). On more than one occassion, he has asked his listeners if anyone knew what they were building down by the bridge around the Waterfront Plaza.

DJ Atomica also presents the licenses to a driver. If you win the Burnout Driver's License or Elite Driver's License, he will comment while the credits roll (With Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City" playing in the background.)
