The sequel to Need for Speed: SHiFT was officially announced along with the release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (today). Shift 2 is due to release this upcoming Spring of 2011. http://www.needforspeed.com/game/shift-2-unleashed If the game has a tighter design (meaning less bugs and better physics) plus deep customization, I just might buy it. I'm all for a sequel with Autolog added. If they streamline the career and rewards system and get rid of the drift mode, I'll be happy. Exlonox posted this at 02:19, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
McLaren-FR - This Is Real Roadrage. Expect me. - Strasbourg, France ( GMT +1 )
Got it last Thursday. Playing a sim-like game is not the best when playing with a DS-3, but whatever...Being softer with commands and it's like Shift. Press hard and you'll find the game unplayable (like most little French kiddies I find at school, meh.)
For deep customization, you have race parts, "ze" Works conversion on most cars, and a rim change. For the vinyl system, yay for mirror, but for the rest, it's WORSE than in Shift 1. You cannot place the damned vinyl, because it moves too fast and you cannot reduce the speed. The physics are better (do a barrel roll!) but I'm a bit disappointed with damage : if you fully crash and roll (à la Burnout) then why you spawn with your wheels back ? A fatality is a fatality....
For career, there are 20 levels. Each level unlocks career events as well as some gifts (more money, vinyls, cars...) Till level 14, you unlock GT3 and Works branch. Finish it and you have access to GT1. Win the final chanpionship and dang. There's still drift (even harder than ever....) but it's not a must-pass. Da. Posted @: 20:03, May 5, 2011 (UTC).
Im having trouble with the other racers that seem want to turn evey race into a demolishion derby. If i run into the back of a racer I get magically turned to the side. They take me out every race. And i cant do the same.7
