The Jansen Toy 88 Special is one of 4 Toy Legendary Cars only available with the purchase of Big Surf Island. Like the full-size time traveling 88 Special, the Toy 88 Special features the ability to hover by clicking the Left Analog Stick. It is arguably one of the best jumpers currently in the game, for its light weight and hovering ability makes soaring over Super or Mega Jumps effortless.
Although it is much faster, the Toy 88 Special is not 100% superior to the Toy P12 in Stunt Runs. Controlling Barrel Roll spins in hover mode can be challenging because the car usually spins very quickly, but when successful, it easy bests the Toy P12. The Toy 88 Special is also great at performing Flat Spins, but because extra weight has been added, it usually can only beat the Toy P12 at flat-spinning on much larger ramps.
It is actually a fair car for Races because it is faster than one might think, and can quickly refill its Boost Bar. However, because of its size and poor structural integrity, it is almost useless in a Road Rage or Marked Man event.

[edit] Resemblance
This vehicle is the Toy version of the Jansen P12 88 Special, and shares the same visual features as the original car.
[edit] Notes
- Hitting a steep ramp in hover mode will cause the vehicle to bottom out and greatly reduces its speed before leaving the ramp.
- Switching to hover mode right as you leave a ramp will allow you to jump much farther than if you left the ramp in road mode or hover mode.
- In hover mode, this vehicle can hit quite a few obstacles or vehicles at top speed head-on, as well as clipping the sides of vehicles, without crashing.
