The Krieger Pioneer is the first of the heavy vehicles in Paradise City. It is a strong SUV, one that can handle a bump or two on the road. It also has decent speed and surprisingly good handling for such a heavy vehicle, which makes this an essential upgrade early on. Unfortunately, it still has the usual disadvantage of sub-par acceleration. It is also not a good car for Stunt Run events due to its weight. It finds its use mainly in Road Rage and Marked Man events, but the handling is decent enough for a race event if the player is aggressive enough.

[edit] Description
Like an automotive sumo wrestler, the Krieger Pioneer might look like three tons of blubber, but it's surprisingly agile. Smash insignificant rivals into the wall as you scream past to glory.
[edit] How to Unlock
Win 7 events, then shut it down.
[edit] Resemblance
The Krieger Pioneer is heavily influenced by the Audi Q7 for the front and the 2004-2009 Lexus RX for the side and rear. Some features may have also been inspired by the BMW X5 and the Acura MDX.

[edit] Notes
- In Burnout Paradise's Free February Update, the Pioneer's speed stat was lowered from 4 to 1 and its boost stat was lowered from 3 to 2.
- After the Cagney update, any music played had added bass to make it distorted. This was also fixed in the Free February Update reverting it back to its original behavior. The same applies to the Pioneer Super Gator.
