Nakamura is a Japanese sports car manufacturer that manufactures Speed and Stunt type vehicles, with one exception being the Carbon Ikusa GT, an aggression vehicle. Nakamura is the only manufacturer of the motorcycles in Paradise City. It is a parody of Nissan, with a mixture of Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. All Nakamura vehicles, except the Carbon Ikusa GT, and the Rai-Jin Turbo are relatively low performance vehicles, and are unlocked near the beginning of the game.
Nakamura's logo is a simple stylized "N" on a black, chrome-trimmed oval.
Notably, Nakamura is named after a developer at Criterion Games with the same name. He also was referenced in the street of Nakamura Avenue in Big Surf Shores. The name is likely also a reference to the character Hiro Nakamura of the TV series Heroes : the show features frequent product placement by Nissan and the Paradise Award for shutting down the SI-7 is named "Yatta!", Hiro's catchphrase. The Rai-Jin Turbo is the fastest Nakamura vehicle in the game, and the Firehawk GP Competition is the fastest Nakamura bike in the game.
Nakamura is the only manufacturer with a facility in Paradise City. The Nakamura Motors building can be found on Lambert Parkway just East of Hall Avenue.
