The Nintendo DS (Dual Screen) is the spiritual successor to Nintendo's highly successful Game Boy line of handheld consoles, released during 2004. While it may not be as powerful as Sony's PlayStation Portable, it makes up for it by having two screens, the lower of which is a touch screen, which can be interacted with using a Stylus (included).

The DS, like the PSP, has three versions, the first of which is no longer available on the market. After the initial release of the DS, Nintendo released the DS Lite, a slimmer and, as the name suggests, lighter device. There is also the DSi, being sold alongside the DS Lite, that has a larger screen and cameras.
