South Bay Expressway is one of more traveled roads in Paradise City, due to large amounts of traffic and because it's a common route from the waterfront to the southern end of the country. The road itself starts at Manners Avenue, crosses across Fort Lawrence Naval Yard and extends to the far west part of town at South Mountain Drive, just south of Rockridge Dam. The bridge connecting the two areas is a good place for a Stunt Run, as it has 2 Super Jump ramps, 2 Billboards, and a ramp that allows you to transfer over to I-88. The Naval Yard nearby is also an excellent Stunt Run location, with three Super Jumps and a Billboard.

[edit] Shortcuts

• Northbound shortcut. Has multiple routes and smashes, and a billboard. In a race to the Wildcats Stadium, keep to the right to make it through safely, and into a warehouse shortcut.
• Westbound shortcut. This is a long shortcut through the Naval Yard. Make sure to straighten yourself for the difficult Super Jump in here. You can take the exit on the right (which can be taken as an entrance when going west) if you wish to get out. Head forwards through the aircraft carrier, and beware the split. At the end of it is the docking platform, which is an alternate entrance. Keep to the right to exit straight into the Naval Yard finish banner.
• Southbound shortcut onto Shepard Avenue, for those who took a wrong turn.
• Eastbound shortcut onto a ramp and into a Billboard, which sends you into the aircraft carrier. Keep to the left side to exit quickly.
• Eastbound shortcut into the shipping containers, containing two billboards. The right path also has a Super Jump. Be careful when taking the left route through the shipping containers. Both will spit you out into the above shortcut.

• Gas Station: Near Parr Avenue intersection.
• Auto Repair: Near the South Rouse Drive intersection. Use it to fix cars you've shutdown after picking them up at the Manners Avenue Junkyard, in preparation for a Burning Route.

[edit] Landmarks of Interest

• A Paradise Diner on the corner of Shepard Avenue - With Air Conditioning!
• 5 "normal" yellow cranes which can be seen along the Express Way
• A yellow crane flanked by four very large fuel tanks - Probably not for the gas station at their feet
• A cargo ship, flanked by stacks of shipping containers and two large container cranes.
• South Bay Expressway Bridge. Has ramps in the middle to launch you up to the railway tracks above, all three ramps can be taken in either direction. The outer two ramps are Super Jumps, and the middle ramp forces you into a Billboard (one for each side).
